National and home delivery - Where We Deliver

We deliver to the whole of mainland UK. But if you live in The Highlands or The Channel Islands please give us a call as we will arrange a special service for you.

How It works

Once you have placed your order you will receive an email confirmation from The Brace of Butchers.

If you order the phone, we take secure payment on the day of delivery (because we do everything on weight and made up fresh)

If you have purchased online the day your order is despatched you will receive an email from us giving you your live tracking code and an estimated time of delivery.

Our Delivery Partner

We normally use DHL as our delivery partner for national deliveries. DHL offer a ‘predict’ delivery service whereby they inform customers of a one-hour delivery window notified by email – so you don’t have to wait in all day. But do remember weather and fresh produce isn’t always a great mix.

If you are using our home delivery or bespoke camping service then we simply pack up one our vans and we will drive over to your home or meeting spot. You’ll get to know us as we have a great team who have been with us for years.

Do let us know If your plans change and we do offer a click and collect service in our Poundbury HQ.

Please note while we endeavour to get your order to you in the stated time frame, The Brace of Butchers cannot be held responsible for our courier’s failure to deliver to the specified time due to adverse weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control. In these instances, we will, however, make our best efforts to correct the problem. Please contact us if you have any questions on your delivery on 01305 260956 or email office@braceofbutchers.co.uk

Leaving Your Order Safe when using our national delivery service

There is no need for you to be home when your delivery arrives. Just tell us somewhere safe to leave your order, like a shed, garage or porch. Simply pop your instructions in the comments box when you complete your order.

When using our home delivery service – we’d love to say hello but understand life is busy. Simply when ordering on the phone just tell us somewhere safe to leave your order, like a shed, garage or porch.

Our Delivery Terms and Conditions

7.1 Delivery costs. The costs of delivery will be as displayed to you on our website.

7.2 When we will provide your goods. You are able to choose an available delivery date and details when you order goods. We will confirm this either on the phone or in a confirmation email to you. We will try to deliver on your selected date/time but such delivery dates/times are estimates only and we will notify you if your goods are not able to be despatched within the agreed timescale for any reason.

7.3 We are not responsible for delays outside of our control. If our supply of your goods is delayed by an event outside of our control then we will contact you as soon as practically possible. We will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. Provided we do this, we will not be liable for delays caused by the event, but if there is a risk of substantial delay you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for any goods you have paid for but not received.

7.4 If you are not at home when your goods are delivered. If no one is available at your address to take delivery, we may follow the instructions you have given us of where to leave the goods in the circumstances. If we leave the goods on your doorstep or with a neighbour, and they are stolen or damaged, we do not accept any liability. If you contact our courier partner direct and arrange a 'redelivery request' causing the courier to delay the delivery of your goods, we will not accept liability for any changes to the condition of the goods, or any delay to the delivery.

7.5 When you become responsible for and own the goods. The goods will be your responsibility from the time we deliver the goods to the address you gave us. You own goods once we have received payment in full.

7.6 What will happen if you do not give the required information to us. We may need certain information from you so that we can supply your goods to you, for example, the quantity of food and the delivery address. If so, this will have been stated in the description of the goods on our website. We will contact you to ask for this information if not provided. If you do not give us this information within a reasonable time of us asking for it, or if you give us incomplete or incorrect information, we may either end the contract (and condition 10.2 will apply) or make an additional charge of a reasonable sum to compensate us for any extra work that is required as a result. We will not be responsible for supplying the goods late or not supplying any part of them if this is caused by you not giving us the information we need within a reasonable time. If you provide us with incorrect information for example, an incorrect postcode, that results in the failure to deliver, we will not accept liability.

7.7 Reasons we may delay the supply of goods to you. We may have to delay the supply of goods due to stock shortages, to deal with technical problems, or make minor technical changes, update the goods or packaging to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements and/or make changes to the goods as requested by you or notified by us to you (see clause 6).
